Danger: Real and Perceived. Some would ask what is the difference or is there a difference.

As far as our PTSD symptoms go, our fight or flight mechanism fires as violently as a life-threatening experience to a real or perceived danger.

That’s the physical side. Once you learn how to focus the breath intently you can dissipate its impact.

Next is the emotional danger. No fight or flight firing, it is more subtle.

Shame or humiliation is a different sort of danger.

The consequence we think is the death of our Ego.

Logically that makes no sense, the Ego has no form except inside our head, a kind of powerful mirage.

Our Ego is one of Jeff Dunham’s dummies, an alter Ego.
