PTSD: Military Suicides

“Suicide has been the main killer of U.S. personnel since the Sept. 11 attacks. More than 30,000 of them have died by their own hands since, during a period that saw about 7,000 service members die in combat or training exercises, according to a project from Brown University.“

My two cents: Is this a failure?

30,000, 22 a day for years or an average of 4 a day for the last 20 years.

What are we doing to heal this epidemic?

I know from reading and being in therapy healing is expected. All these great therapies and tools are available.

Is this not ground zero for our psychological cabal to do their work.

This should be the proving ground for any therapy.

We sure are not curing them?

How many PTSD VICTIMS ARE WE HEALING?

How many others are self-medicating, committing domestic violence, and other crimes?

It seems epidemic.

They have taken the D, disorder from PTSD making it PTS. This has not helped.

There is still a stigma of weakness or cowardice if you seek help.

Any soldier with a history of abuse or trauma will not do well in combat.

Since 9/11 we have lost 30,000.

We have not taken that number of casualties on the battlefield since Vietnam.

How many suicides will we accept before a change comes?
