America’s largest drug companies saturated the country with 76 billion oxycodone and hydrocodone pain pills from 2006 through 2012 as the nation’s deadliest drug epidemic spun out of control, according to previously undisclosed company data released as part of the largest civil action in U.S. history.

The information comes from a database maintained by the Drug Enforcement Administration that tracks the path of every single pain pill sold in the United States — from manufacturers and distributors to pharmacies in every town and city.

The data provides an unprecedented look at the surge of legal pain pills that fueled the prescription opioid epidemic, which has resulted in nearly 100,000 deaths from 2006 through 2012.

Three companies manufactured 88 percent of the opioids: SpecGx, a subsidiary of Mallinckrodt; Actavis Pharma; and Par Pharmaceutical, a subsidiary of Endo Pharmaceuticals.

Purdue Pharma, which the plaintiffs allege sparked the epidemic in the 1990s with its introduction of OxyContin, its version of oxycodone, was ranked fourth among manufacturers with about 3 percent of the market.

The volume of the pills handled by the companies skyrocketed as the epidemic surged,

increasing about 51 percent from 8.4 billion in 2006 to 12.6 billion in 2012.

By contrast, doses of morphine, a well-known treatment for severe pain, averaged slightly more than 500 million a year during the period.

My two cents: If DEA knew about this spike, why did they not react?

  1. Thank you for posting this article, as people have become numb to the toll caused by opiates, addiction and trauma since it is basically modus operandi for all now.
The DEA didn’t react becuase they are part of the machine that MADE this crisis, to profit from the destruction of human life and further satanic political agendas which are full-bore now under the rubric of Covid.
Trauma must be seen for what it is and transcended. Your work here in this blog helps make that happen. I salute you and every one of us who has been made a victim of the psychopaths that rule this world. Stay strong, have faith, and do not take the genetic reprogramming vaccination. Stay human.

  5. Yes, and perhaps we have them to be refined like gold. We persevere and as you wrote about heart intention yesterday, that is EVERYTHING.

  6. Yes

    Sounds like a plan

  8. Comments are working now, Marty =) It was two settings I do not recall changing.

  10. Serious trauma—notably adverse childhood experiences—is typically behind a substance abuser’s debilitating lead-ball-and-chain self-medicating lifestyle.

Generally, there’s a formidable reason why a person repeatedly consumes and gets heavily hooked upon an unregulated, often deadly chemical that eventually destroys lives.

The greater the drug-induced euphoria or escape one attains from its use, the more one wants to repeat the experience; and the more intolerable one finds their sober reality, the more pleasurable that escape should be perceived. By extension, the greater one’s mental pain or trauma while sober, the greater the need for escape from reality, thus the more addictive the euphoric escape-form will likely be.

We now know pharmaceutical corporations intentionally pushed their very addictive opiate pain killers—the real moral crime—for which they got off relatively lightly, considering the resulting immense suffering and overdose death numbers.

  11. I recall a then-president Bill Clinton deciding against legalizing personal-use marijuana possession, after having campaigned in favor of it (or at least its decriminalization).
Other than to pander to the bloated-profit interests of the pharmaceutical industry — which loves the long-maintained pot-consumption legal obstacles just fine — there was/is no good reason (morally, ethically or national interest) to keep pot consumption criminal. On the contrary, there’s all the reason to legalize it.

Both Democratic and Republican administrations, not to mention a long line of consecutive Canadian governances, maintain thinly veiled yet firm ties to large corporations — very much including Big Pharma — as though elected heads should represent big money interests over those of the working citizenry.

  12. Thank you for replying, @fgsjr2015, I love Marty and his community.
My research revealed that the farinaceous grains and sugars all genetically modified by the elite all these thousands of years and earth resets have made the human brain addiction-prone. Worse, the approved chemicals used to process all humans take in now. I counsel peope to completely stop consuming almost all grains and all sugars, and then this entire detxo thing. Like a throroughbred racehorse always having the track in them being hard-wired, so are humans. We are what we eat. Everyone is full of parasites, heavy metals, endocrine disruptors, molds, yeasts and synthetic biology i.e. Morgellons. They did this to us intentionally and we are in the end game of the long game called the Holy War. I have CPTSD from birth and the next sixty years targeted individual events and know this all all too well.Changing my diet and detoxing made me sovereign, and EMDR didn’t hurt either, thoigh the ones doing it were wack.
We do not have to stay in the Stockholme Sydrome, the mind truly is the devil’s playground and the devil is real. Too much naval-gazing and wheel re-inventing happens in the “mental health” community when it is all actually spiritual and needs to be completely recontextualized or else is an eternal burden.
And to answer the point about pot: they GMO’d it, it;s not even marijuana anymore.

  13. Thank you for this

  17. fgsjr2015 I agree totally how they deplatform the legitimacy of the natural good things of plant intelligence of Creation, “demonizing” and criminalizing those who incorporate non-pharmaceuticals in their lives as part of a natural healing balance. These same goons devised the psychiatric industry, nomenclature and DSMs, now all part of the social credit score system of depopulation.
Marty, i hear you loud and clear. Chronic pain is real pain and saps prana. I must say that detoxing gave me back my body and my chronic pain is gone, I can walk again, no frozen shoulders, no need for neck, hip or shoulder surgeries, no drugs of any kind at all. Forgive my prattling on but I am honest about what I learned and share and it does improve quality of life. I am sorry you have pain… I have chronic Lyme and still dela with synthetic biology and removing nanotechnology. There is a sharp learning curve here maybe but all must know. Special people here on your site, in this group who ar eso dear and work so hard to transcend trauma.

  18. Thank you for replying, The Ascension Diet.

I believe that even if the latest discoveries on the cerebral intricacies of chemical addiction could be utilized in actual treatment, I doubt they would be — unless it would be very profitable to do so.

Any talk of government funding (at least here in North America) to make such treatment available to low- and no-income hard-drug addicts, however much it would alleviate their great suffering, would be firmly opposed by the general socially and fiscally conservative electorate.

I used to be one who, while sympathetic, would look down on those who’d ‘allowed’ themselves to become addicted to alcohol and illicit drugs. Then I began to understand that serious life trauma, notably adverse childhood experiences, is usually behind a substance abuser’s debilitating lead-ball-and-chain self-medicating.

It doesn’t happen out of boredom that a person repeatedly consumes and gets heavily hooked on an unregulated often deadly chemical that eventually destroys their life and even that of a loved-one.

Tragically, the pain may be so overwhelming that the most extreme and potentially permanent form of escape—suicidal behaviour—is sometimes chosen.

  19. (Nodding yes, yes)
Covid has is the litmus test that shows us that no nation will do the right thing by its citizens, yep.
Agreed, agreed… my own struggle to disengage from medical mafia misery, half my siblings, more dead friends than living ones for this reason, lastly my daughter-in-law.
This is the longest drama of humanity and the controllers have no empathy literally no light at all, no ATP, nada.

  20. no *light at all (sorry typos)

  21. Fixed it
