A layman, a meditator, looks at control, consequences!

We are on this journey together. All of us granted a brief period of life.

Our purpose is to be 😃 happy!

That is an elusive goal because we exert very little control in the external world.

We all die, so our supposed control is a mirage. Death seems to be the ultimate loss of control to me.

When a checkup ends with your doctor saying you have pancreatic cancer, control is the last thing you feel.

Trying to exert control over your life takes great energy.

When I was ICU, paralyzed from Guillian Beret, things that seemed important yesterday, felt entirely ridiculous a day later.

I had spent voluminous hours daily, trying to control my life, manage my triggers, avoid danger.

Being a mediator, gratitude and giving has replaced trying to control life.

Control brought worry into my life.

Stole valuable waking hours.

I realized death will arrive the same time, same day whether I control and worry or live free.

So where is the benefit?

    Living free sounds wonderful…

  2. Well I am not saying I live free

Some parts are better than others
But how I suffered through life is gone
I know where happiness lives and I can visit

Unlimited opportunity for all of us to be happier
