“Focused and Fearless”
“Notice the subtle motivations behind your speech today. When is the primary communication merely your own existence?
Sometimes what is said is not very important; what we are really saying is, “notice me, I’m here, I’m special, I am like this, I am.”
It can be useful to grow sensitive to the tendency to seek respect, appreciation, confirmation, praise, or recognition.
You don’t need to squelch these desires should they arise, but notice how they contribute to the development of self-formations.
Are you in a phase in your life when self-formations are valuable, or are you ready to deconstruct these processes?
You can also observe your internal dialog, ruminations, and daydreams.
Make a note of moments when the thought “I am” forms. How much of your thinking is recreating and reinforcing the story of being you?
What would the experience of your life be like without the burden of incessant becoming?

I’m confused by this post and am asking for clarification. So very much of my life was not and has not been about ‘me’. It’s been the shadow for fulfilling the desires of others. My “self” has always been blank & I still struggle, with having an identity, that I can call my “self.” Now, I read that claiming some portion of self exploration and identification; “I’m here” “I’m special” “I’m like this” is no good? Wow, back to empty space, invisibility, no reflection in the mirror? Hmmmm…. what am I missing in today’s post?

Look closer. Your self seems to be submissive or unworthy not non existent
An unworthy or abused Ego is the opposite of a narcissistic Ego
Instead of having a grandiose Ego you have an unworthy one you have created.
You identity is not as important as others
We place way to much importance on our Ego our identity.
To find the real you do not look in the mirror, explore the internal world.
Find out why you think your identity is more empty space, invisibility, no reflection in the mirror.
We create this “I” so we can change it, adapt and adjust it to fit the healed you.
The you that is not dependent on approval or status.
My healing and happiness did not come because of a big “Ego”
I try to not feel like I am better or worse than anyone else, this is a judgment and it is always inaccurate
What you think of yourself is not who you are and definitely not who I am
Try to let go of your identity, thoughts and emotions attached for just being present, observing without the “Egos” bias
You are perfect as your true self as all of us are. We share this journey not in competition but our “Ego”is never equal to another Ego
So here is our issue
Observe the next time you think your ego has disappeared
Ego hardly ever disappears
Anytime you use I, me, mine follow that to,its source and see if you can find “I”
Here is an old post with a visual
https://ptsdawayout.com/2019/12/04/lets-get-creative-the-ego-as-ventriloquist-dummy/
We create this “I”
You could change your “I” to be like a narcissist, overconfident, cocky, boastful but that is not happiness either
I wait for your response
Great response and this will help, others on their journey
