Can we focus when confusion reigns?

I could be angry for long periods. Now, I refuse to grasp that emotion for long.

Meditation practice builds the ability to focus in the face of stress, anger or the fight or flight mechanism firing.

Yes, we can focus on the breath and handle our fight or flight mechanism exploding.

In fact, slowing the breath dissipates adrenaline and cortisol, then activates the parasympathetic nervous system, the brakes.

Practice focusing when your under stress, confused, especially pissed off.

The inner critic uses negative emotions to influence us, control our being.

Practice not reacting to thoughts or negative emotions.

Do we need to react when criticized, stressed, or angered?

Do emotions control us?

Maybe a certain emotion is our Achilles heel.

Can we not react with practice? Yes, yes, yes.

  1. Life gets a lot easier and beautiful when we don’t react right away for the situations that are difficult. I think we should learn to mindfully respond, without reacting so fast 🙂

  2. That is our goal

We want to improve not be perfect
