If we believe these Yogi’s are the happiest beings on earth. _______

If we believe these Yogi’s are the happiest beings on earth, awakened or enlightened from a lifelong meditation practice, we could learn from their experience.

Physically, their breath has slowed,  focus is effortless and immediate,  right side amygdala has grown along with other brain rewires.

The self recedes to a minor role, humility emerges in place of ego. Service to all becomes part of the path instead of exhaustive pleasure seeking.

Being humble has become a way of living.   This is special.

Reactions: Seasoned meditators do not react to the noise, the stress, the thoughts, they resist judging anything. Their amygdalae stay calm to most external stimuli. When they do sound the alarm, they react, then calm back down quickly. They have stopped listening to the storyline, stopped entering the drama.

Their ability to focus, letting thought fade is effortless and immediate. Emotions are ephemeral, fleeting and transparent. Happiness can last weeks or months, an internal way of living.

Loving kindness meditation, inner peace connects them to all creatures. The Dalai Lama says he has went a year without experiencing worry or fear.

They feel no unworthiness, no greed, no jealously, and no need for approval.

We should try to emulate as many of these traits as possible.

Every judgement, every negative thought, every negative emotion offers an opportunity for change.
