We are just training the mind to empty and be at peace, totally present, here and now.

How can we do this? Neuroscience says, where we place our attention grows, and grows, while things ignored fade, farther and farther with lack of attention.
.
Sort of like a spiritual law of attraction, mindfully, letting the cognitive side fall asleep, while we explore our inner world.
.
Imagine a marble, rolling along on the “Breathing Track”, a barometer for us to visualize, focus upon, slowing it down, more and more. Inhale, pause, exhale, pause, like a beautiful slow piece of music, a masterpiece, life.
.
This is simple, concrete, with the ability to calmly handle the adrenal stress response, our amygdala firing, cortisol being dumped, fight or flight engaging.
.
If you spend 15 minutes a day, life will open up, with actual effort and desire to do the work.
.
It does not take that much effort, more consistency after you develop your ability to focus.
.
hell yes it is awkward at first, like anything else. no one is watching or can see into your mind.
.
You can practice this anywhere, anytime, it is free and has no side effects but compliments any therapy, religion or belief.
.
Please take action and live, fight for your mental health, get off your ass and try.

I find that meditating right when I wake up works well for me. The mind is clear and rested. I just close my eyes and follow the breathing track – if my mind starts to wander I use my finger to trace it.
