.
Not hard telling which one of these two sees a meal!.
.
.
The cognitive part of the mind/brain is extremely literal about speech, words, thoughts of positive or negative, joy or suffering.
.
What we say is reinforced by our ego trying to find past memories to reinforce our words, our feelings, especially about our self worth, our place on this planet.
.
We sabotage our existence when we udder negative, destructive sentiments towards us.
.
When we describe ourself, it should always be glowing, positive and enthusiastic.
.
Why not if we have a choice?
.
Life is to be lived in this moment, it is where happiness resides, so spending time in the past is counterproductive or harmful if thought is not directed.
.
We learn with mindfulness to let these distractions, thoughts, fear, body mechanisms and emotions fade without our attention, judging, manipulating or thinking about them.
.
healing can be accommodated by minimal effort, constant application with each breath.
.
Mindfulness is not like a diet, where we practice for a while, then turn away after when we reach some goal. Mindfulness is a way of life, a moment to moment existence, which grants us a chance at living fully even with distractions, anxiety, fear or worry being present.
.
mindfulness is simple, concrete, basic and doable for all of us.
.
It takes action, mental and physical to heal, movement in the face of fight, flight or freeze mechanism erupting.

If you take a close look at the child in his picture, you are looking at wonderment, a brain totally enthralled with something new, unifiable in a memory bank.
Mindfulness is trying to get us back to this state with a mature mind, wonderment, just being and having life explode at times of mundane moments. The left brain has not even come totally on board yet with this child, so life is new each day, each moment, we grow and lose site of how it is supposed to be.
You can reach unattainable goals, achievements, wealth, power etc and still not find you, the perfect being, accepting right here, right now is it.
Take a look at that child again and see the amazement and awe, meditating is the closest I get to that feeling.

Beautiful lesson and comments. I think prior to all our mental attachments and stories is our true essence/foundation which is peace.
